Rolling Stones Signed Debut Album Brian Jones Mick Jagger Keith Richard Bill Wyman Charlie Watts Autograph
The first Rolling Stones album signed on the front cover by all five original members. Brian Jones, Mick Jagger, Keith Richard, Bill Wyman and Charlie Watts signed the cover in fountain pen. The signatures were obtained by booking agent Al Reuter, who worked with Don Kirschner and Bill Graham. This is the original 1964 British mono release of the album on Decca Records. The cover shows much wear, significant top and bottom seam splitting. The vinyl shows some major scratching which I imagine would affect play. There is no paper inner sleeve. The Brian Jones signature is splendid, as he signed on his white shirt sleeve, and added "Rolling Stones" under his signature. The other signatures do not show such noticeable contrast, as most of the cover is dark. The cover is also laminated, making it more difficult for the ink to take to it. All things considered, a nice set of signatures and a wonderful and rare piece from the greatest rock and roll band in the world. The UK version does not have the printing "England's Newest Hit Sensations, The Rolling Stones" as the American version does, making the cover photo much more visually appealing.
