This guitar strap has been signed in felt tip pens by (from left) Todd Rundgren (who added "Hello it's me"), Paul Maurity (a studio musician mistakenly taken for someone actually famous), Pete Ham (of Badfinger), Roy Orbison (who added "love"), Keith Richards, Pete Townshend, Keith Moon, Mick Jagger, Bill Wyman, Harry Nilsson, John Lennon (who added "love" and date) and Chuck Berry (who added a smiley face). The signatures were acquired by Pete Connolly, who has collected in-person signatures for about forty years. Pete acquired the signatures over a number of years at the following locations, all in New York City: At the Pierre Hotel, John Lennon, Harry Nilsson, Pete Ham, Todd Rundgren and Roy Orbison. At the Plaza Hotel, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Bill Wyman and Pete Townshend. At the Navarro Hotel, Chuck Berry and Keith Moon. The guitar strap, which appears virtually unused, is believed to have originally belonged to Keith Richards, as it was obtained from his "people". It is made of top grain cowhide by Ambico Inc in Lynbrook, NY. It measures 3 1/2" x 33", with additional leather pieces attached to each end. An incredible and very displayable collection of music legends, five are deceased. Certain to be the centerpiece of any music display.
