Jack Guthrie Autograph Signed Songbook Cousin Of Woody
This is the Jack Guthrie songbook signed on the inside bio page by Jack Guthrie. Jack was the cousin of Woody Guthrie, and had a hit with the song "Oklahoma Hills", which they share the songwriting credits for. Jack died in 1948, but in his brief career, he was more commercially successful than Woody was in his lifetime. The songbook is about 32 pages, and contains the music for many of Jack's songs. It also contains bios and photos of some of the radio personalities at KVI radio in Tacoma, the premier country music station at the time, which was 1946. The songbook is complete and shows no major tears. Very rare signature. This is from the estate of Dan (Oberholtz) Diamond, a prominent DJ largely in the Kansas City area, for decades. Besides his many years as a DJ and interviewing most of the top musical acts of his time, Dan was also known for his vast personal record collection.
