Aldous Huxley's "The Doors Of Perception" signed by The Doors Jim Morrison Autograph ITEM SOLD
Product DescriptionAldous Huxley's book "The Doors Of Perception" signed on the title page by all four Doors. Jim Morrison (who added "cheers"), Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger and John Densmore have signed in blue ballpoint or biro pen. The Doors took their name from this book by Aldous Huxley, about his experiences with mescalin. The signatures were acquired by an early fan named Paul in 1966 at the Whiskey-A-Go-Go on the Sunset Strip in California. The 5 1/2" x 8" hardcover book is printed by Harper and Brothers, NY 1954. The book has original dust jacket and plastic cover. First page has a bookplate from previous owner. Inside front cover has sticker from bookseller Samuel Weiser. Printed cover price of book is $1.75. Inside is overall clean, no tears or folds. Signatures have been well preserved being inside the book. Probably the best overall set of Doors signatures I have seen. Jim's signature goes right through the printed word "DOORS" in the book title. This could well be the ultimate piece for a true Doors fan. Will gladly send further scans of the book.
