Bob Dylan Stage-Played Signed Harmonica Handwritten Note Autograph ITEM SOLD
This Hohner Marine Band harmonica has been stage-played and signed in black felt tip pen by Bob Dylan. A handwritten note to the recipient, ostensibly signed by a Dylan assistant, is believed to be written by Dylan himself. Gary Brooks was a casual acquaintence of Dylan's who did a few favors for him. The signed harmonica and a cassette version of the album "World Gone Wrong" were partial payback to Mr Brooks. Also enclosed is the ticket stub to the show that Mr Brooks attended and at which he spoke with Dylan. It is at this show that the harmonica was apparently played at. Those with extensive knowledge of Dylan's circle of people are unaware of a Dorothy ever working for him. The general consensus is that the note is in Dylan's own hand, something that those who know Dylan well believe is in keeping with his personality. The harmonica, an A flat, is in excellent shape, as is it's case. The 5" x 7" note, other than being folded from mailing, is in very good shape also. A Dylan signed and stage-played instrument is certainly a rarity, as is anything written in Dylan's own hand.
