Blue Cheer Signed Vincebus Eruptum
The classic Blue Cheer album "Vincebus Eruptum" signed on the front cover by all three original members, Leigh Stephens, Paul Whaley and Dick Peterson, in blue ballpoint or biro pen. The signatures were acquired in 1968 at the Statler Hilton Hotel in New York by John Morgan. John collected in-person autographs for more than forty years. I recently acquired a major portion of John's collection of vintage signed classic rock items. This album is generally considered to be the first true heavy metal recording. This is the original stereo release from 1968. The album cover shows many signs of wear, peeling in some spots. The vinyl record shows a few visible scatches which may affect play, but certainly appears very playable. There is no paper inner sleeve. Leigh Stephens left the group in August 1968, making this a very difficult item to acquire fully signed. A landmark album in the history of recorded rock music.
