Andy Warhol Autograph Signed Original Artwork
This watercolor was painted and signed by Andy Warhol. It was given to a woman in about 1975 who was at the time married to the owner of the Cafe Borgia, which was located at the corner of Bleecker and MacDougal streets in Greenwich Village. Warhol frequented the cafe, and was occasionally served without being presented a bill. He gave this artwork to the owner's wife to return the favor. The painting is about 7 1/4" x 9 1/2", and is in excellent shape. It is believed to be a self-portrait, though it was never explicitly stated as such. Warhol also added his iconic Campbell's soup can in the work. I have a number of other Warhol signed items, the inset photo shows the signature from one of them.
